About Us

AptEner Mechatronics (the creators of the BluArmor range of motorcycle/scooter gear) is founded by Sundararajan Krishnan (PK). PK was part of the founding team and Business Unit head of the IP business at Cosmic Circuits, a Bangalore-based semiconductor IP company that was acquired by Cadence Design Systems in 2013. He has a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras and an M. S. and Ph. D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

He is supported by a stellar multi-disciplinary team. Prof Raghuram Govardhan and Prof. Jaywant Arakere (from IISc) lead the mechanical design, and bring with them expertise in fluid flow and heat transfer. Michael Foley, one of India’s leading designers and a brand name in the consumer industry segment, is responsible for industrial design. Alok Pugalia, co-founder of Sankalp Semi (another successful semiconductor start-up from India) is responsible for the embedded electronics and Goutam Biswas runs the software show.

The team includes two passionate bikers in Arvind and Halley Prabhakar. In addition to their other roles within the company, Arvind and Halley are teacher customers for BluArmor helping ensure that the product is thoroughly tested before it hits the market.
